Frederick B. Hilbert, 86, of Wadsworth passed away December 30, 2012. Born December 26, 1926 in Wadsworth, Ohio to the late Harry and Sofia (Seader) Hilbert.

Fred retired from Morton Salt after working 36 years. He enjoyed gardening and being outside. He will be most remembered as a hard working man that was loving and devoted to his family. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

Preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Evelyn R. Hilbert, brothers Frank and John Hilbert.

Survived by children, Ruth Hughes-Sims of Rittman, Rick Hilbert of Wadsworth, Dave Hilbert of Millersburg, John (Christine) Hilbert of Olathe, KS, Gary Hilbert (Jenny) of Wadsworth, grandchildren Bev (Kevin) of Seville, Stephen Hilbert of Hamilton, OH, Brittany Hilbert of Olathe, KS, Logan Hilbert of Wadsworth, 6 great grandchildren, sister Helen Mayes of MI, Rita Van Dyne of Zanesville, OH and Janet Green of CA.

Family will receive friends 4-6 pm Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Hilliard Rospert Funeral Home 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth, OH where funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 4, at 11 am with Pastor Michael Decker officiating. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
