Barbara E. Metarko, 73, of Barberton, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016. She was born on March 31, 1943 to the late Lloyd and Martha (Sawade) Mumaw in Wadsworth, Ohio.

Barbara was a long time member of the Wadsworth Eagles. She enjoyed spending her time in the garden, sewing and reading books.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, George Metarko; son, James J. Wiesen; and sister, Susan Mumaw. She is survived by son, Don (Arleen) Wiesen; and also MaryAnn (Gary) Euverard; Butch (Donna) Mumaw; Joann Robertson; John (Rose) Mumaw; Nancy Baker; James (Judy) Mumaw; Karen (Steve) Shields. Barbara is also survived by her grandchildren, Josh, Heather, Brandon and Nikki; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 7, 10a-12p at Hilliard Rospert Funeral Home, 174 North Lyman Street, Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted at 12pm with Pastor John Graham officiating. Internment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Wadsworth, Ohio.
