Robert C. Rogers, 86, of Wadsworth went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, May 9, 2010. He was born August 8, 1923 in Ashland, KY to the late Trall and Violet Rogers.
He attended Ridgewood Baptist Church, was a medic in the U.S. Army, having received a Purple Heart. He received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Kentucky and was retired from B.F. Goodrich. He enjoyed music and was a movie buff.
Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his brother Harold.
Robert is survived by his wife Wanda, with whom he celebrated 58 years of marriage on April 4, 2010, four daughters; Robin (Charlie) Neeson, Kim (Edward) Lytle, all of Westfield Center, Tracey (Steve) Krska of Wadsworth, and Willa Hulsey of Memphis, TN. There are 10 grandchildren; Christopher (Lisa) Neeson, Daniel (Heidi) Neeson, John Lytle, Amy Lytle (husband Etienne), Beverly Lytle, Megan, Sr. Airman Tyler, and Robert Krska, Cody and Samantha Hulsey and great grandchildren Benjamin and Natalie Neeson, and one sister Mary Nell (Roger) Padirone.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth with Pastor Charles Whitlock officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 10-11 AM. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery where military honors will be provided by the Wadsworth Honor Guard.
