Rittman-

Helen G. Blankenship, 76, of Rittman passed away Friday, February 24, 2012. She was born on February 14, 1936 in Wadsworth to the late Willard F. Sr. and Mary Grace Berlin. Mrs. Blankenship was a wonderful stay at home mom and later was employed by the Ohio Match Co. She was a member of the Wadsworth Eagles Auxiliary #2117 and enjoyed bowling in the Saturday evening Ball Busters League.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Willard Jr., Gerald and Dan Berlin.
Helen is survived by her husband John with whom she celebrated 57 years of marriage. Her children: Sue (Mike) Koval, Charles Blankenship, Diane (Doug Hill) Drayer, Willard "Billy" (Denise) Blankenship and Mark Allen "Bugs" Blankenship all of Rittman. There are 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren her brothers Edward Berlin of Wadsworth and Don (Cindy) Berlin of Wadsworth and two sisters in law Christine and Beverly Berlin both of Wadsworth.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Hilliard-Rospert, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth with Rev. Daniel Doty officiating. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to services from 11:00 - 1:00 PM.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
