Arlene Booth Potisuk Mace, 94, affectionately known as G.G., passed into life with her Lord on January 1, 2011. Born on January 20, 1916, in Marion, Ohio, Arlene lived in Kent, Mansfield and Wadsworth. A graduate of Roosevelt High School, Arlene was a stay at home mom for 40 years, then retired from KSU as a nurse's aide after many years of service. An avid reader, Arlene also loved doing crossword puzzles and cross stitch embroidery. She was a huge fan of mystery shows on TV, and a long time member of Trinity United Church of Christ where she and her twin sister, Addie, were greeters and taught Sunday School for many years.
Arlene was preceded in death by husbands Stephen Potisuk in 1944, and Edwin Mace in 1968, parents, Theodore and Theresa Booth, siblings Albert Booth, Theodore Booth, Adelaide Divelbiss, Laura Alice Booth, daughter Darlene Pounds and great - granddaughter Gabrielle Mathys.
She is survived by daughters Joan (Paul) Ferrara, Susan (Tim) Wilcox, sons Richard (Lynn) Mace, Robert (Ginger) Mace, twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday January 6, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth and on Friday, January 7 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Trinity United Church of Christ, 215 High St., Wadsworth where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM with Rev. Daniel Doty officiating. Interment will be at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent, Ohio.
