Wadsworth -

John R. Recny of Wadsworth OH passed away peacefully the morning of February 16, 2013, at Altercare of Wadsworth nursing home. He was 91.

Born in Ford City, Pennsylvania, Mr. Recny moved to Wadsworth in 1962. He worked as an accountant for the Ohio Match Company in Wadsworth, NRM in Akron, and Midwest Rubber in Barberton. A loving husband and father, he was married in 1952 to the late Jenny (Kania) Recny, who passed away in 1998. Mr. Recny leaves behind two sons and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 5-8 pm Tuesday at the Hilliard Rospert Funeral Home, Wadsworth where a prayer service will be held at 6:30, Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00am Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church , 272 Broad St., Wadsworth. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth.
