Joan M. Patterson, 89, formerly of Canton more recently of Wadsworth, passed away Monday April 20, 2015. She was born on February 28, 1926 in Uhrichsville, OH to the late Harley and Blanche Garner. Mrs. Patterson was a graduate of Uhrichsville High School class of 1944 and then proceeded to Beauty College. She was retired from Canton Christian Home after many years as a beautician. She was a life member of VFW Auxiliary # 3747 in Canton and a member of the Canton Elks. Joan enjoyed many nights out dancing and many hours of quilting.

She was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law Linda and Jeff Evans, grandson Matt Evans and brother Robert “Bob” Garner.

Joan is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Bob and Judy Patterson of Wadsworth, grandchildren Tom (Denise) Evans of Orlando, FL, Courtney Patterson of Canton, her great grandchildren Meredith and Alex Evans, Alexis and Dominique Patterson, great-great-grandchildren Meleah and Camdyn Patterson, one brother Don “Whitey” Garner of New Philadelphia, OH and her special friend Bill Anderson of Canton, Oh.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth with Rev. James L. Singleton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 10-11am.
