Petronela "Petty" Spice, 96, of Wadsworth passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012. She was born October 24, 1915 in Kenmore, OH to the late Stanley and Petronela Sarpolus. Petty enjoyed gardening and caring for others including many young people. Her favorite pass time was spending time with her grandchildren. She was considered the Best Grandma in the world. Petty worked many years as a cook at Isham school. Preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Ralph; brothers, Tony and Stanley Sarpolus, and daughter-in-law, Martha Spice. Petty is survived by her loving children: Larry (Shirley) Spice, Ralph Spice, Joanne (Tom) King-Wardell and Susan (Richard) Rambacher; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, October 5 from 4:30 to 7:00 PM at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, where funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 6 with calling hours one hour before the service. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
