It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow we announce the passing of John Francis Morris, 83, on Friday September 6, 2024 of Wadsworth, Ohio. John was born on October 24, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio to the parents’ of Charles and Margaret (Marchal) Morris. John worked as a purchasing manager at Mau-Sherwood and retired as an accountant from Office Max. John was married to Barbara (Singer) Morris for 34 years until her death in 2000.
John was an avid Cleveland sports fan and knew all the latest stats for his beloved Browns’, Cavs and Guardians. You could also find him reading his newspaper with his V-8 juice, looking for a bargain, traveling and celebrating life with his family.
John is survived by wife, Martina Morris of 18 years of marriage.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, John C. Morris (Kim) of Rootstown, Ohio, and David C. Morris (Angela) of Parma, Ohio; five daughters, Patti M. Commerford (Gary) of North Olmsted, Ohio, Mrs. Kathy A. Hauck (Bill) of Stow, Ohio, Terri M. Shean of Lyndhurst, Ohio, Jennifer L. Morris of Tallmadge, Ohio and Diane E. Page (Corey) of Long Beach Mississippi; and 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Also surviving is the extended family, H. Scott and Karen Masters of Warren, Ohio, Ed and Diane Lace of Huron, South Dakota and Shawn and Joyce Golz of Archbold, Ohio
The family will receive friends 10am-11am Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 272 Broad St. Wadsworth, Ohio followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11am.
Interment will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio
